As a Joinery Draftsman specializing in Fit Out projects, you will play a vital role in the interior design and construction process by creating detailed joinery and loose furniture drawings for F&B; projects that align with the overall design vision and functional requirements of the space. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of high-quality fit-out projects in various commercial, residential, and hospitality settings.

**Responsibilities**:
**Detailed Drawings Creation**: Produce accurate and comprehensive joinery and cabinetry drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software. These drawings should clearly depict the design elements, dimensions, materials, and construction methods.

**Collaboration**:





Work closely with interior designers, architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, design intent, and spatial constraints. Collaborate effectively to ensure the design vision is translated into feasible joinery solutions.

**Material Selection**: Recommend appropriate materials for joinery and cabinetry construction based on their durability, aesthetics, and compatibility with the intended use of the space.

**Problem Solving**: Identify potential design challenges or conflicts early in the process and propose innovative solutions that maintain design integrity while overcoming technical obstacles.

**Accuracy and Precision**: Pay meticulous attention to detail when creating drawings, ensuring accurate measurements, clear annotations, and proper scale representation.

**Documentation**: Create and maintain a comprehensive library of joinery details, standard components, and construction methodologies that can be utilized across different projects.







**Project Coordination**: Coordinate with the project team to ensure timely delivery of drawings and revisions, and provide any necessary support during the construction phase.

**Quality Control**: Review prototypes and finished joinery products to ensure they match the design specifications and meet quality standards.

**Continuous Learning**: Stay updated with industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies in joinery and fit-out design.

**Requirements**:

- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of joinery construction techniques, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Previous experience in drafting for fit-out projects,





preferably within commercial, residential, or hospitality sectors.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality drawings.
- Problem-solving skills to address design challenges and provide practical solutions.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- A portfolio showcasing previous joinery and cabinetry projects is a plus.
