RESPONSIBILITIES
Review of project technical specifications, drawings, and BOQ to identify and determine quality and engineering criteria for materials, workmanship and testing requirements related to Coating & Painting works.
Performs verification inspection of work elements, to assure compliance with established procedures and Project’s specified requirements.
Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications,
and related documents.
Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment prior to and upon completion of the job.
Create and maintain relevant Quality Records and duly store conformance & non-conformances reports.
Control of storage and certification of consumables.
Performs qualifications of coating processes.
Checks surface preparation.
Checks and records atmospheric conditions prior to starting of painting operations.
Carries out wet and dry film thickness checks.
Monitors observations of the correct coding cycles.
Verifies the correct color-coding and painting.
Performs visuals inspections / adhesion tests / penetration test / impact test etc
Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Estimator Skills and Qualification
Education and Qualifications
Degree of Mechanical Engineer minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as QC in blasting and painting, With NACE level II or CSWIP / BGAS Grade 2
Nebosh certification would be an added advantage
**Language**:
- English (preferred)
