Job Summary:

The Cleaner in an FertiClinic plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility. The individual is responsible for ensuring that all areas, including clinical rooms, laboratories, patient waiting areas, and restrooms, are clean, sanitized, and well-maintained in compliance with health and safety standards. Cleanliness and hygiene are paramount to the operations of FertiClinic to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Disinfection:
• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect all clinical and non-clinical areas, including patient rooms, laboratories, procedure rooms, and office spaces.






• Follow strict cleaning protocols, especially in sensitive areas such as the operating room and embryology lab, using appropriate cleaning products and tools.
• Ensure that all medical equipment surfaces are wiped down and disinfected per protocol.
• Waste Management:
• Collect and properly dispose of waste, including hazardous and biomedical waste, following clinic protocols and UAE health regulations.
• Ensure biohazard bins are handled safely and transported for disposal correctly.
• Stock Management:
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and materials, reporting low supplies to the supervisor.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and functioning correctly.
• Health and Safety Compliance:
• Adhere to clinic infection control guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Ensure proper disposal and handling of contaminated materials to prevent cross-contamination.






• Report any maintenance issues such as broken equipment or facilities hazards to the Facilities Manager.
• Patient and Staff Support:
• Maintain cleanliness in patient areas such as waiting rooms, restrooms, and examination rooms, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment.
• Assist with preparing clinical rooms for patient consultations and procedures by maintaining a clean and sanitized setup.
• Documentation:
• Complete cleaning logs or checklists as required to track areas cleaned and ensure that all tasks are consistently performed.
• Miscellaneous Duties:
• Perform any additional cleaning duties as required by the clinic to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the facility.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience:





Previous cleaning experience in a medical or healthcare setting is highly preferred, especially in IVF clinics or other specialized facilities.
• Skills & Abilities:
• Understanding of sterilization techniques and cleaning products used in medical facilities.
• Familiarity with infection control procedures and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict cleaning protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic communication skills in English.

Work Conditions:

• Standing and moving for long periods.
• Use of cleaning chemicals and protective gear (gloves, masks, etc.).
• Handling of biohazardous waste and materials.
