**ob Summary**:The cleaning & Housekeeping Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the impeccable cleanliness and organization of our esteemed hospitality establishment. This dynamic role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including inventory management, procurement of cleaning supplies, oversight of cleaning staff, shift scheduling, employee training, and proactive problem-solving. Housekeeping Supervisors are instrumental in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and efficient operations, reporting directly to senior management.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Inventory Management**: Responsible for maintaining stocks of cleaning products and supplies to ensure seamless housekeeping operations.
- **Procurement**: Place orders for cleaning products and supplies, monitor vendor relationships, and optimize cost-efficiency.
- **Team Supervision**: Oversee and provide guidance to housekeepers and cleaners, ensuring quality standards and efficiency in their work.
- **Shift Scheduling**: Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and adherence to labor guidelines.
- **Training**: Train and onboard new housekeeping staff to ensure they meet established service standards and policies.
- **Corrective Actions**: Proactively identify and address any performance issues or areas in need of improvement.
- **Reporting**: Regularly communicate with senior management regarding housekeeping operations, challenges, and improvements.
- Liaise with the Manager on a daily basis regarding current tasks, and assist in the planning of future tasks.
- Ensure all assigned duties are carried out, and that resources are efficiently utilized.
- Ensure that the school’s policies and procedures are adhered to by staff.
- Act as a communication conduit between management and staff.
- Maintain and control use of stock, equipment & consumables.
- Timeously request purchase of consumables, equipment and materials.
- Monitor and report absenteeism to the Manager.
- Ensure that all staff wear all appropriate Uniform.
- Where required, gather and provide information on a daily, monthly and annual basis, including schedules, consumable issues and usage etc.
- Prepare overtime rosters for approval by the Manager.
- Work with members of other teams as required.
- Check all equipment that require replacement items as needed.
- Report faulty equipment to the Manager within 12 hours of breakdown.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are met and maintained, and report shortcomings/faults to the Manager.
- Monitor and assist in planning for holiday work requirements (bi/annual cleaning work).
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Prior experience as a Cleaning & Housekeeping Supervisor, preferably within a hospitality or hotel environment.
- Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal.
- Strong leadership qualities, capable of guiding and motivating a diverse team.
- Exceptional organizational skills, essential for efficient scheduling and supply management.
- Teamwork and collaboration, promoting a harmonious work environment and guest satisfaction.
- Budgeting skills to manage expenses effectively and contribute to cost control efforts.
- Excellent communication skills, both with the housekeeping team and senior management, to facilitate a smooth flow of information.
**Salary**: AED2,500.00 per month
