Housekeeping Manager - Hospitality

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department. This role ensures the cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance of the establishment meets the highest standards of hygiene and safety. The Housekeeping Manager will also lead, train, and develop the housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Staff Management**:

- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate housekeeping staff.
- Schedule work shifts and organize workloads for the housekeeping team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and coaching.
- **Operational Management**:

- Ensure that all rooms, public areas,





and back-of-house spaces are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and other housekeeping essentials; place orders as necessary.
- Inspect guest rooms, corridors, lobbies, and other common areas to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely room availability and special requests are fulfilled.
- **Quality Control**:

- Implement and enforce housekeeping policies and procedures.
- Maintain a checklist for cleaning tasks and ensure compliance with the same.
- Respond promptly to guest complaints and take necessary corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to safety and hygiene regulations, including the handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- **Budget Management**:

- Prepare and manage the housekeeping budget.
- Control costs by managing labor, supply expenses, and minimizing wastage.






- Optimize resource utilization and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- **Training and Development**:

- Develop and conduct training programs for housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, customer service, and safety protocols.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, incorporating them into staff training.
- **Health & Safety Compliance**:

- Ensure the housekeeping team follows proper procedures for cleaning and sanitizing areas.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any issues promptly.
- Implement and monitor health and safety standards to prevent accidents and injuries.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Housekeeping Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.






- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in using housekeeping management software is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or related field is preferred.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of [7-8] years of experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a hotel or similar establishment.

**Working Conditions**:

- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Physically capable of performing housekeeping duties when needed.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
