**Objectives of this Role**
- Monitor financial status by comparing data sets with projections
- Improve fiscal health with thorough analyses of financial data to develop deep, actionable insights that drive business performance. This includes monitoring variances and identifying trends.
- Develop forecast models based on comparative performance metrics to maintain the company’s forecast model and implement improvements as the business grows
- Develop business cases to support decision-making and support pricing decisions by creating innovative strategies for cost reduction
- Establish and guide restructured cost analysis processes by creating fresh policies and procedures
**Daily and Monthly Responsibilities**
- Work closely with the operations for day-to-day financial support to the company
- Work directly with the Head of Finance and the Head of Operations for with various planning exercises, such as forecast, budgets, profitability analysis, and reporting
- Assist in the month-end closing process by analyzing trends and variances related to revenue, and comparing and correct data to reconcile financial transactions
- Interact and coordinate with the territory finance team to produce accurate and timely financial reports
- Monitor working capital and cash flow needs
- Closely work with the cost control team to understand the reasons for the Cost of Goods Sold variances, and menu analyses and work with the procurement team to reduce procurement costs
- Devise innovative and efficient ways of working, analyses, and reporting
- Develop and maintain confidential, protected databases to monitor business performance, and provide management with insights into any risks or opportunities
- Coordinate requirements for efficient automated accounting to increase productivity and ensure verified information backups
- Uphold standards through consolidation of quarterly reporting packages and thorough internal reporting and analysis of financial data
- Work with other team members for MIS consolidation and analysis of other brands as needed
- Strive to advance personal skill sets through continued engagement in networking, workshop, and advanced education opportunities.
**Knowledge, Skills & Experience required for the role**
**Education**:
- Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants
- Alternatively, MBA finance only if premier B school and has relevant industry experience.
**No. of Years of Experience**:
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification work experience
**Nature of Experience**:
- Proven experience working as a financial analyst
- Excellent excel and PowerPoint presentation skills
- Working knowledge of statistical analysis processes and statistical packages
- Outstanding communication, reporting, and presentation skills
**Functional Skills**:
- Financial forecasting and trend analytics
- Software revenue recognition is a plus, as is experienced with Micros / Qlikview
- Strong familiarity with accounting
- Proven experience in a corporate finance setting
- Measurable financial planning and financial strategy capabilities
- History of standard development and implementation in a financial setting
