Description
The Cornille laboratory in the Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a Research Assistant lab manager starting September 1, 2024.
The successful applicant will :
- Settle the molecular biology lab;
- Maintain sample collections, organize permit requests and sampling sessions on the field;
- Coordinate with the PI and postdocs the settlement of field experiments with different partners;
- Conduct a set of techniques in molecular biology by adapting the experimental conditions (apply health and safety rules, extract and sequence DNA and RNA);
- Run statistical and bioinformatic analyses.
Applicants Must Have a Master's Degree In Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Genomics,
Or Related Fields And Experience In a Biology Research Laboratory.
Significant Experience In One Or More Of The Following Is Strongly Desired
- Transposable Elements Biology
- Long-read sequencing
- The ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and scientific creativity are essential.
