Job Summary: The PMV (Plant, Machinery and Vehicles) Engineer is responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and deployment of all PMV assets across construction projects in order to ensure that they are utilized efficiently and effectively. The PMV Engineer will lead a team of technical professionals and will work collaboratively with the Project Managers, MEP Managers, Site Managers, and other project team members to ensure successful project delivery. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for the effective management of PMV assets, including the deployment, maintenance, repair, and replacement of equipment as necessary.
- Ensure that all PMV assets are compliant with safety regulations and are maintained in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of PMV assets, including records of equipment location, condition, and maintenance history.
- Coordinate the scheduling of PMV resources across construction projects to ensure that they are utilized efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the safe and efficient operation of PMV assets.
- Manage the procurement of new PMV assets and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
- Develop and manage the PMV budget and provide regular reports on expenditure to senior management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including project managers, site managers, suppliers, and contractors.
- Ensure that all PMV activities are performed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and advice to project teams and stakeholders.
- Manage and mentor technical staff to ensure their professional development and growth.
- Identify and recommend new technical solutions and innovative practices that can improve PMV asset management and project delivery.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with the project team to identify and mitigate technical risks and issues
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering is a must.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with at least 5 years in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of construction processes and techniques, as well as PMV equipment and systems.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards for PMV asset management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in the use of computer-aided design software, project management software, and PMV asset management software. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
