An Income Auditor for the Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre, reviews, analyzes, and recommends improvements to the daily financial reports and process to improve accuracy and efficiency.
**What will I be doing?**
As Income Auditor for the Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre, you will monitor all transactions as they contribute to or detract hotel revenue. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Distribution of Daily Revenue Report.
- Audit all revenues generated by hotel operations.
- Audit all Complimentary/ Discount/ Duty Meals/Void Checks.
- Validate the credit card refund documents.
- Posting of month end entries.
- Check House Accounts, Group Masters & High Balance Reports.
- Perform surprise visits to revenue generating units.
- Perform surprise cash counts.
- Investigate any revenue discrepancies.
- Reconcile Banquet Revenue with BEOs.
- Prepare Tips / Incentive reports and shared with respective department heads.
- Generate telephone usage report and validate the call charges.
- Generate and distribute month end inter hotel invoices.
- Generate and distribute valet parking service invoice to the shops/restaurants in the building.
- Generate and distribute alcohol / service invoice to rented occupants.
- Follow - up payments for distributed invoices which are not covered by Shared Service Centre.
- Prepare General Cashier JV & Audit.
- Verification of paid-out and deposit refunds vouchers and its approval.
- Reconcile Advance Deposits.
- Maintain high level filing standards for internal and external audits.
- Submission of reports to DTCM and Dubai Municipality.
- Follow-up of Payments to government entities like VAT/ Tourism Dirham/Municipality Fee etc.
- Support if any audits by Government.
- Validate any revenue sharing methodology - if followed.
- Assisting Finance Manager in the preparation of budget, forecast & cash flows.
- Following up on Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- Reliever for other finance positions.
- Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
- Generate financial reports and statements to Managers for review.
- Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion.
- Provide guidance to other accountants when needed.
- Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
- Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations.

- Experience in the hotel / leisure / retail sector
- Possesss strong organisational skills
- A good understanding of financial operating systems and procedures

- Excellent analytical skills
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Previous Accounts/Finance experience in a high volume department,
preferably within a hotel environment
- Experience with the PeopleSoft system
