Job Purpose :
To ensure effective supplier performance management and to oversee the Supplier Performance Admin team. Leading post contract performance management activities, developing strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, assisting in the development of KPIs and conducting performance reviews for both food and non-food suppliers to drive continuous improvement in supplier performance.
Key Result Areas :
- Leads the post-contract performance management of a designated supplier portfolio of either direct or indirect categories, ensuring adherence to contractual commitments and fostering continuous improvement in supplier performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, develop supplier scorecards,
and generate comprehensive reports to assess supplier performance, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and drive actionable improvement plans.
- Provide insightful analysis on performance trends and potential supplier risks to be mitigated.
- Liaise closely with category managers, providing insights on supplier performance that to contribute to procurement category strategy development and evolution.
- Develop, implement, and monitor supplier improvement plans such that underperforming suppliers are effectively brought back to company standards, and where suppliers reach a level where performance cannot be recovered the work with the relevant buyer to identify substitutions and a transition to a source of supply without impacting the business operations.
- Identify suppliers exceeding company expectations and offer recognition to strengthen relationships and encourage future collaboration.
- Proactively seek out sourcing of sustainable and innovative solutions in the supply base,
to materially contribute towards company strategic and sustainable goals while fostering positive mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers for tangible advantages for both parties.
- Work with peers and the Delivery Management Team to continuously improve the supplier performance management process by leveraging new and existing sources of data and evolving technical solutions.
Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience :
Education Qualification :
a) Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Supply Chain. (Must have)
b) CIPS Qualification. (Preferred)
Work Experience :
a) Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier relationship management.
Skills :
- Assess multiple data sets simultaneously and provide insightful analysis for management.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Negotiation skills.
- Proactive, out-of-the-box thinking that generates tangible solutions.
