We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team of educators.
Responsibilities:
1. Assessment and Individualized Education Program (IEP) Development: Assess students' abilities and needs to develop individualized education plans tailored to their specific requirements.
2. Instructional Planning and Delivery: Design and implement instructional strategies and materials that accommodate diverse learning styles and address individual needs outlined in students' IEPs.
3. Behavior Management: Employ effective behavior management techniques to support positive behavior and address challenging behaviors, fostering a conducive learning environment.
4. Collaboration: Collaborate with general education teachers, parents,
therapists, and other professionals to coordinate support services and ensure students' holistic development.
5. Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly assess students' progress, track their development, and communicate effectively with stakeholders about achievements and areas requiring additional support.
6. Advocacy: Advocate for students with disabilities, ensuring their rights are upheld and that they receive appropriate accommodations and support services.
7. Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of best practices, emerging trends, and innovations in special education.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
2. Should possess strong communication, empathy, patience, and collaboration skills to effectively interact with students, families, and other professionals.
3. Familiarity with laws and regulations governing special education, such as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA),
is essential for ensuring compliance and advocating for students' rights.
4. Understanding and respecting cultural diversity.
5. 1+ year of experience in Special Education teaching in GCC.
6. Willing to travel or relocate to Sharjah.
7. Can join immediately.
