Key Responsibilities :
- Patient Care & Assessment :
- Greet and prepare patients for consultations, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Take and record patient medical histories, perform basic skin assessments, and document findings accurately.
- Provide pre- and post-procedure instructions, educating patients on treatments, skincare, and management of skin conditions like acne, eczema, psoriasis, and others.
- Monitor patient progress during and after treatments, addressing any concerns.
- Assisting Dermatological Procedures :
- Support the dermatologist in outpatient procedures such as skin biopsies, laser treatments, chemical peels, cryotherapy, and minor surgeries.
- Administer injections and medications (topical or systemic)
under the supervision of the dermatologist.
- Ensure all instruments and equipment are sterile, properly set up for procedures, and that treatment rooms are maintained to DOH standards.
- Patient Education & Counseling :
- Educate patients on proper skincare, sun protection, and lifestyle adjustments to improve and maintain skin health.
- Provide information on prescribed skincare treatments and products, ensuring patients understand usage and follow-up care.
- Counsel patients on the management of chronic skin conditions, and explain treatment options for various dermatological issues.
- Clinical Documentation & Record Keeping :
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, documenting procedures, treatment outcomes, and follow-up care in compliance with DOH requirements.
- Ensure all forms, including medical histories and consent forms, are completed and filed according to clinic protocols.
- Infection Control & Clinic Maintenance :
- Adhere to strict infection control standards during procedures and in clinic maintenance.
- Sterilize medical instruments, clean and maintain the organization of treatment rooms and equipment as per DOH healthcare guidelines.
- Ensure waste disposal and hygiene practices are in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Administrative Support :
- Assist with patient appointment scheduling and managing inquiries related to dermatology services.
- Maintain stock and inventory of medical supplies and skincare products, ensuring the clinic is well-equipped for daily operations.
- Team Collaboration :
- Collaborate with dermatologists, other nurses, and administrative staff to ensure smooth operations in the clinic.
- Assist in the development and implementation of clinic protocols and ensure patient safety at all times.
- Compliance & Continuing Education :
- Stay updated on the latest DOH regulations and ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi’s healthcare standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, training, and certification in dermatology nursing to maintain a valid DOH license.
Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- License : Valid DOH (Department of Health - Abu Dhabi) nursing license.
- Experience : Minimum of 2 years’ experience in dermatology or aesthetic nursing, preferably in an outpatient setting.
- Skills :
- Proficiency in dermatological procedures and skincare treatments.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Working Conditions :
- Setting : Outpatient dermatology clinic in Abu Dhabi, specializing in day-to-day consultations and procedures.
- Hours : Generally follows standard clinic hours, with some flexibility as needed for patient care.
- Environment : Clean and organized outpatient clinical setting, involving frequent use of medical equipment and dermatological treatments.
Job Type : Full-time
Pay : From AED6,000.00 per month
