About The role: 'Senior Logistics Operations Professional'
Role Overview:
Manage daily logistics operations, ensure compliance with company procedures and IATA guidelines, execute tasks within deadlines,
and maintain delivery schedules & support business and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Import/Export: Optimize Import/Export processes, ensure compliance, minimize costs, and maintain accurate documentation for Dubai Customs, Jebel Ali Freezone & GCC countries customs.
2. Shipping & Handling: Assess shipping needs by product type and destination; handle dangerous/classified goods.
3. Coordination: Manage shipping documents for customs clearance and coordinate local collections. Work daily with freight forwarders, warehouse operations, and carriers to resolve shipment issues.
4. Planning: Identify seasonal peaks, support inbound planning, and provide logistics solutions for new routes, including customs regulations.
5. Audit/Data Management: Maintain an audit trail, use SAP for data analysis to improve accuracy.
6. Query Resolution: Handle import shipments, manage damage/loss claims, and resolve member queries.
7. Invoice Procedures: Ensure invoices match agreed rates/service levels; follow and update SOPs.
8.
FF Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor freight forwarder performance, identify delays, and manage reporting and conduct meetings regularly.
9. Customer Support: Arrange shipping details with customers, including pickup times, methods, delivery dates, and timely updating.
10. Team Management: Guide and support the logistics team to foster collaboration and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree or MBA
Experience: 5-7 years in multinational freight forwarding/logistics, preferably in IT distribution; experience in Dubai/GCC preferred
Knowledge: International air freight & GCC road freight management, Import/export processes in Dubai Customs, JAFZA, and GCC countries.
Skills: Excellent negotiation, administrative, and time management; Strong IT skills,
especially MS Office and SAP; Analytical with good communication skills.
Attributes: Organized, proactive, solution-driven, able to work under pressure, team player with a positive mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:
Communication: Exceptional English skills; Hindi is a plus. Strong customer service skills.
Experience: Previous experience in a multinational company is highly desirable.
