Key Job Responsibilities
- Lead, assist, and guide the group to ensure they are operating in a standard, safe, and productive way.
- Collaborate with the group and larger network to develop solutions by using the technological know-how at hand.
- Continue to increase the bar on all performance and compliance KPIs while maintaining the APM (asset performance management) metrics attained.
- Assist the reliability engineering manager in implementing, documenting,
and auditing safety and statutory compliance procedures to provide a secure working environment for all employees.
- Ensure high equipment availability, implement network standards, and prioritize preventive maintenance.
- Manage the team’s training program to ensure there is enough technical coverage for the shifts they are responsible for.
- Carry out the manager’s allocated local project organizing or MENA-level project assistance.
- Showcase real-world engineering expertise, including managing people in a supervisory capacity.
- Possess familiarity with automated machinery, such as conveyor systems, sorting apparatus, and packing machines.
- Possess a background in adhering to relevant health and safety rules and regulations.
- Create and execute vendor-managed contracts (AMCs) with suitable equipment service levels.
- Oversee a group of technicians and maintenance supervisors. Set objectives, prioritize tasks, manage staff schedules, and provide training.
- Enforce the Amazon Safety Policy and collaborate with the safety team to enhance on-site safety.
A Day in the Life
- Use the issue ticketing system to monitor and address requests from RME customers daily.
- Ensure the vendor of the yearly maintenance contract is providing excellent service and report any inconsistencies to the SLA (service level agreement).
About Team
The Site RME team oversees all day-to-day problems and projects related to building engineering and facilities, including technical and soft services (base building and MHE material handling equipment).
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of using a computer maintenance management system in planning, scheduling, and auditing overall facilities and maintenance activities.
- 3+ years of data analysis in the facilities maintenance program, specifically in asset management and spare part optimization.
- 3+ years of working with computers and Microsoft Office products and applications.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Knowledge of diverse MHS, industrial mechanical and electrical systems, and automation, controls, and robotics systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of maintenance planner/scheduler working within an industrial maintenance complex, manufacturing/distribution industries, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in material handling systems (MHS) installation, operation, and maintenance.
