Job Description : MEP QA / QC Inspector (Plumbing & HVAC)
Location : Dubai
Contract : 6 Months
Hours : 60 Hours / Week
We are currently seeking a MEP QA / QC Inspector (Plumbing & HVAC) for a 6-month contract position in Dubai. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in MEP systems, particularly in plumbing and HVAC, with experience in snagging / DE snagging and villa projects.
Position Overview :
The MEP QA / QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of all MEP systems and installations. The inspector will conduct regular inspections, witness tests, and perform audits to verify that all systems meet the specified standards and requirements.
This role requires a thorough understanding of MEP systems, industry standards, and quality assurance / control processes.
Key Responsibilities :
Inspection and Testing
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of mechanical and plumbing installations.
- Schedule and witness testing of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Document and report non-conformities or discrepancies.
Quality Assurance and Control
- Implement QA / QC procedures and checklists for MEP systems.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and audits.
- Prepare detailed reports on the quality and compliance of MEP systems.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
Coordination and Communication
- Collaborate with project teams, including engineers and contractors, to ensure proper MEP system integration.
- Provide guidance on quality-related issues.
- Attend project meetings to discuss QA / QC concerns and progress.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with industry standards, codes, and best practices.
- Participate in training and development to enhance skills.
- Identify opportunities for improving QA / QC processes.
Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years in MEP QA / QC inspection or a similar role, with experience in snagging / DE snagging and villa projects.
- Certifications : Relevant certifications (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA) are preferred.
- Knowledge : Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction codes, and industry standards.
- Skills : Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Software Proficiency : Familiarity with QA / QC software and basic office software (e.g., MS Office).
Working Conditions :
The role involves working on construction sites, which may include exposure to various weather conditions and physical activities.
Work Schedule :
60 hours per week.
