*Job Title:* Registered Nurse (RN)
*Job Summary:*
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and coordinating patient care, educating patients and the public about various health conditions, and providing emotional support to patients and their family members. The RN will work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and other healthcare facilities.
*Key Responsibilities:*
- Assess patients’ conditions and determine appropriate nursing interventions.
- Administer medications, monitor patient reactions, and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on managing illnesses or injuries and post-hospital care.
- Perform diagnostic tests, analyze results, and communicate findings to physicians.
- Provide pre
- and post-operative care to surgical patients.
- Assist in medical procedures and ensure that operating rooms are sterile.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or life support care.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with healthcare procedures and regulations.
- Update patient records and ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained.
- Participate in continuing education activities to maintain current knowledge and skills.
*Qualifications:*
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (DOH) license.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) may be required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient in using medical equipment and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
