POSITION SUMMARY
As a Guest Relations Manager, you will:
1. Process all guest check-ins, verifying guest identity, form of payment, assigning room, and activating/issuing room key.
2. Set up accurate accounts for each guest according to their requirements.
3. Enter Marriott Rewards information and ensure rates match market codes, documenting exceptions.
4.
Secure payment prior to issuing room key and verify/adjust billing.
5. Compile and review daily reports/logs/contingency lists.
6. Complete cashier and closing reports.
7. Supply guests with directions and property information.
8. Accommodate guest requests, contacting appropriate staff if necessary.
9. Follow up to ensure requests have been met.
10. Process all payment types, vouchers, paid-outs, and charges.
11. Balance and drop receipts.
12. Count and secure bank at beginning and end of shift.
13. Obtain manual authorizations and follow all Accounting procedures.
14. Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any guest reports of theft.
15. Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, motivating and coaching employees.
16. Develop/maintain positive working relationships; support team to reach common goals.
17. Follow company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
18.
Ensure personal appearance is clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
19. Welcome and acknowledge guests; anticipate and address guests' service needs.
20. Speak using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
21. Ensure adherence to quality standards.
22. Enter and locate information using computers/POS systems.
23. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
24. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
25. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
2. Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
3. Supervisory Experience:
At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
4. License or Certification: None.
