Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sr. Resident Engineer / Structure at our organization located in Abu Dhabi. The Resident Engineer is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day construction site operations for structures, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The successful candidate will manage and supervise the work of contractors on site, prepare reports, attend meetings, and coordinate with consultants, clients, and local authorities as required.
Job Roles:
1. Supervise all construction works in compliance with the contract drawing and specification.
2. Familiar with construction methodologies and processes.
3.
Well knowledge of local authority's requirements and building international standards.
4. Monitor the construction progress and the quality of works carried out by the contractor to be completed within the allowed time.
5. Well knowledge of products/materials and equipment for construction use.
6. Prepare site records and reporting.
7. Ensure that works are carried out by the approved health and safety measures.
8. Review the submissions of architectural samples, shop drawings, method statements, and other related documents from the contractor and ensure that the works are carried out by such approved samples and documents.
9. Good at communication and technical skills.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
2. Minimum of 18 years of relevant experience in structural engineering (Design and Review) and construction projects, with a focus on on-site supervision, including design and construction phases.
3. Professional certification required.
4.
Thorough knowledge of all codes, standards, and construction practices applicable to structural engineering.
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team setting.
6. Experience in managing multiple contracts, cost control, budgeting, and scheduling.
7. The ability to communicate in Arabic is a must.
Salary
AED 18,000.00 - AED 21,000.00 per month
