**Job Brief**:
We are seeking a skilled Middle Eastern Pastry Chef to join our team and bring your expertise to our soon-to-open restaurant. Your role will involve creating a diverse range of breads, pastries, and desserts that will delight our customers. From traditional favorites to innovative new creations, you'll be key in crafting an exceptional culinary experience.
**Responsibilities**:
- Operate and manage the pastry section of the kitchen, collaborating closely with other chefs.
- Prepare a wide variety of baked goods, including bread, cookies and cakes.
- Decorate and present pastries and baked goods in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
- Monitor inventory and order ingredients, supplies, and equipment as needed.
- Consult with customers to design custom-made desserts or baked goods for special occasions.
- Ensure the pastry section complies with health and safety regulations.
- Identify staffing needs, assist in recruiting, and train new personnel.
- Develop and refine seasonal recipes and menus, staying updated with the latest industry trends.
**Requirements and Skills**:
- Proven experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef, or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders, and dough sheeters.
- In-depth understanding of food safety practices and regulations in the UAE.
- Expertise in cake decoration techniques.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- A team-oriented mindset with a strong customer service focus.
- Flexibility to work early morning shifts as required.
- Certification from a culinary school is a plus.
Pay: From AED4,000.00 per month
**Experience**:
- Pastry Chef in UAE: 2 years (preferred)
