We have partnered with a fast-growing hedge fund in Dubai looking to hire a long/short equity portfolio manager. The ideal candidate will be running a market neutral strategy covering multiple sectors, with a strong bias towards US large caps and the flexibility to also cover other major DM equity markets. Our client has a great team and a meritocratic culture, offering the opportunity to scale your strategy and potentially build a team over time.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute and run a long/short equity strategy, focusing on generating alpha and strong risk adjusted returns
2. Cover large, liquid DM names across sectors such as tech,
consumer, or industrials
3. Scale your strategy over time with the potential to build out a team
Requirements & Qualifications:
1. 7-10+ years of experience, with at least 2-3+ years as a long/short equity PM or Associate PM, running a market neutral strategy
2. Demonstrable track record (with full ownership of PnL) as well as a clear investment framework for your strategy
3. Strategy should be focused on large, liquid names and ideally multiple sectors, including technology, industrials, or consumer (however not too niche and tilted towards one sub-sector such as healthcare or mining)
4. Previous experience at a large multi-strategy hedge fund as an associate portfolio manager would be a big plus
5. Ideal candidates may have completed or be nearing the end of a non-compete period and are ready to transition to a new opportunity
