The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the Golf Club's operations, ensuring a high-quality experience for members, guests, and employees. This role involves managing day-to-day activities, strategic planning, financial management, marketing, and staff development to maintain the club’s reputation and profitability.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Operations Management**:
- Oversee daily club operations, including golf course maintenance, food and beverage services, events, and pro shop management.
- Ensure the highest standards in customer service and facility maintenance.
- Coordinate with department heads to develop, implement, and monitor standard operating procedures.
- **Financial Management**:
- Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring revenue targets are met and expenses are controlled.
- Analyze financial statements and implement strategies for growth.
- Oversee payroll, purchasing, and inventory control.
- **Membership and Guest Relations**:
- Drive membership growth through targeted marketing efforts and retention programs.
- Address member and guest concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop programs and events that enhance the membership experience.
- **Staff Leadership and Development**:
- Hire, train, and manage club staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and establish employee development plans.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and employment laws and regulations.
- **Marketing and Community Engagement**:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the club and its services.
- Build relationships with local businesses, community leaders, and organizations.
- Manage social media and other communication channels to maintain the club’s image.
- **Facility and Course Management**:
- Work closely with the golf course superintendent to maintain the course in optimal playing condition.
- Oversee maintenance of club facilities, including clubhouse, dining areas, and recreational amenities.
- Implement capital improvement projects as needed.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior leadership role at a golf club.
- Strong financial management, budgeting, and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of golf course operations,
membership sales, and event management is highly desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
