Are you a skilled AutoCAD Draftsman with a strong background in steel structure design? We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as an AutoCAD Draftsman (2D) with specialized experience in structural steel drafting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with our engineering and project management teams while contributing to the creation of cutting-edge industrial designs.
**Role: AutoCAD Draftsman (2D) - Steel Structures**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with Lead Structural Engineer to understand project phases, activities, and schedules.
- Utilize Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor software to transform rough sketches and engineer concepts into detailed structural layout drawings.
- Develop structural steel drawings encompassing various elements such as steel layouts, connection details, walkways, stairs, equipment supports, and more.
- Work closely with project managers and engineers to meet client requirements efficiently and within budget.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of structural CAD standards.
- Execute additional duties as assigned by the Project Operations Manager or Lead Structural Engineer.
**Qualifications**:
- Associate Degree or Technical degree in CAD Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in structural design.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCAD with both 2D and 3D capabilities.
- Strong structural aptitude and understanding.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word and Excel.
- Experience in drafting/design layout for large industrial equipment and processes is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow directions effectively.
