Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the travel agency, including managing staff and resources effectively
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with industry standards
- Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration
- Optimize operational processes to enhance customer satisfaction and streamline workflows
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to maximize value and minimize costs
- Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
Key Result Areas
- Improve Operational Efficiency & Team productivity (e.g., number of transactions processed per team member)
- Compliance and Regulatory Adherence
- o Improve Customer Service and Satisfaction levels
- o Implement process improvements resulting in efficiency gains (e.g., reduced turnaround time).
- o Generate revenue from operational activities (e.g., upselling services, cross-selling)
- o Identify and mitigate operational risks
- o Implement New technology solutions to enhance operational capabilities
- o Improve the number of strategic partnerships established or maintained through effective operational management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
- Proven track record of at least 7-9 years in operational management, preferably in the travel industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in using travel booking systems and software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners
