Reporting to thepliance Manager, thepliance Consultant collaborates withpliance team and first line of defence to promote an ethics-based culture,
deliver practical solutions, guidance and training.
He / she will be required to identify and manage less to moderatelyplexpliance Risks implementing policies, processes and controls related to thepliance Risk Universe and local regulation.
Job Accountabilities
As thepliance Consultant, you will expected to :
- Assist in preparing relevant metrics that focus on the culture, training needs, and awareness activities
- Support with the review of new laws and trends, liaise with Legal team and ensure these aremunicated and recorded appropriately
- Maintain internalpliance reporting system updated on each of the matters subject to reporting to local regulatory authorities
- Assist thepliance Officer to craft relevant reports to be shared with the first line leadership
- Assist in evaluating business activities ( customer facing conduct) to assesspliance risk
- Help develop plans for regular awareness campaigns reminding employees of the respective Group Policy and how they can report a violation or a concern
- Assist thepliance Officer to support first line of defense with regard to the adoption ofpliance Policies and local regulations
- Performpliance Oversight, establishing and maintaining reports to relevant stakeholders, as foreseen in internal policies and local regulation
- Assist in developing reports that provide insights and trends for the first line of defense and forpliance Officer
- May participate in assurance work to the business that the function inherent risks are being identified, managed and mitigated where possible
- Work withpliance team to ensure thepletion of theirpliance plan
Job Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience inpliance, risk management, or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards is an added advantage
- Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and develop practical solutions
- Understanding ofpliance frameworks, risk assessments, and internal control systems
- Effectivemunication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong ethical standards and integrity, with amitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information
- Professional certifications inpliance, such as CAMS, ICA etc are a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Proactive and self-motivated, with amitment to continuous learning and staying updated on regulatory developments
