Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Buyer to join our team on a part-time basis for a 5–6-month contract. This position involves working on a shift basis and requires a solid understanding of the construction field to effectively manage procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials, equipment, and services essential for construction projects.
- Evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and industry trends.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar role, ideally within the construction industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts as required.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of construction materials and industry standards is a plus.
