Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated Front Desk Agent to be the welcoming face of our hotel, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable experience from check-in to check-out. This role involves managing reservations, addressing guest needs, and providing local insights while maintaining high service standards.Responsibilities:
- Provide a warm welcome to guests, setting the tone for a positive experience.
- Recognize IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, offering personalized service.
- Manage guest bookings, including processing payments and upselling services to enhance their stay.
- Conduct efficient check-in and check-out processes, verifying guest identities, distributing room keys,
and managing safety deposit boxes.
- Anticipate and respond to guest needs by recording preferences and handling messages, requests, questions, and concerns.
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for guests, assisting with billing issues and providing local recommendations.
- Follow safety protocols by reporting incidents and wearing protective gear as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and act as a brand ambassador for the hotel.
- Stay informed about daily events and activities to share with guests.
- Assist colleagues with ad-hoc duties and collaborate with other departments to ensure exceptional service quality.
- Participate in deep cleaning projects and other operational tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with guests and team members.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Strong literacy and computer skills, particularly with reservations systems like Opera.
- Flexibility to work various shifts,
including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college or university degree is a bonus.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a front desk or guest service role in a luxury hotel environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to guest service.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
