JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for facilitating labor dispute resolution processes raised by the employee/employer by conducting fact-finding investigation processes and formulating appropriate responses to grievances. He/she will inspect and check the status of the laborers, any employment matters, whether the salaries are paid, and report any concerns. Also, accountable for all records to be organized and classified according to established standards and guidelines.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle labor complaints raised by the employee/employer starting from receiving the request up to settling the complaint amicably and transferring it to the competent authorities/courts in a timely manner.
- Handle labor complaints in a professional and effective manner to ensure settling them amicably.
- Facilitate dispute resolution processes by compiling and tracking labor complaints, and proactively advising on possible resolution of issues.
- Oversee and conduct fact-finding investigation process for labor complaints and provide inputs when necessary for complaint resolution.
- Inspect companies and identify any employment related concerns including but not limited to salaries payment.
- Handle labor strike whenever it occurs within the vicinity of RAKEZ’ offices or in their company, or camp.
- Make regular follow-ups with the companies to avoid any future strike.
- Report/escalate to immediate supervisor any issues that may arise beyond own span of control to ensure efficient resolution and containment of the issue before becoming a serious/major issue.
- Respond and provide guidance to both employees and employers in employment related queries.
- File & track all labor claims via the maintained system.
- Demonstrate high level of teamwork and support other team members to meet the objectives of the Labor Dispute Office.
- Upload scanned case materials in appropriate folders to ensure proper recordings are available and accessible whenever needed.
- File hard copy documents and supporting materials per applicable process/policy to maintain all evidence in case of requesting them.
- Keep relevant reports updated on a regular basis.
- Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Law is preferred or any other Major.
Years of Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably legal experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, HR,
or any role were interacting with labor law and employment related matters.
Other requirements
- Fluent in Arabic, English, and Urdu (Arabic and English reading and writing are required while for Urdu only speaking is enough). Hindi language understanding and speaking will be an advantage.
- Extraordinary negotiation skills and abilities to convince third parties to reach amicable solutions.
- Good communications skills both oral and written.
- Good complaints handling skills.

- Experience with electronic document management systems.
- Manage a heavy workload and maintain attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Work under pressure and meet constant deadlines.
- Work with a variety of personalities in a strong team environment.
