Arabian Ethicals was established in 1977 to service the pharmaceutical industry as an agent for the management, storage, and distribution of manufacturers’ brands to both the private and governmental sectors. Today, Arabian Ethicals has grown into one of the leading healthcare distributors in UAE, distributing 50 brands across its pharmaceutical core business, animal health, and consumer division.
The Market Access Associate role will design and implement strategies and programs aligned with the commercial priorities of the company. The role involves enabling the inclusion of the company's products in all relevant health insurance providers in the UAE.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, advising on preventive action plans, managing health insurance inclusion, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a central database on reimbursement inclusion eligibility and criteria for major health insurance providers in the UAE.
- Advise on product aspects impacting reimbursement eligibility and develop strategies for product inclusion in health insurance plans.
- Manage relationships with health insurance providers and serve as a subject matter expert on local regulations.
- Provide advice on pricing strategy, support regulatory affairs team in obtaining approvals, and reimbursement codes.
Minimum Requirements:
- University degree in medicine, pharmacy, or related scientific field.
- 4-5 years of relevant work experience in the UAE pharmaceutical industry with exposure to insurance-related tasks
OR
- 4-5 years of work experience in a health insurance provider in the UAE.
Skills & Professional Requirements:
- Understanding of the country’s pharmaceutical market environment and health insurance system.
- Excellent knowledge of reimbursement systems, health insurance policies, and inclusion criteria.
- Strong relationships with key stakeholders of major health insurance providers in the UAE.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
