DESS Primary Oud Metha is seeking a Class Teacher - Year 1 for Temporary Maternity Cover, with a start date in January 2025 until end of June 2025.
About Us
Collectively the DESS family of schools is known as Dubai English Speaking Schools, consisting of two primary schools - DESS Primary Oud Metha and DESS Primary Academic City (opening September 2025) and one secondary school - DESS College also based in Academic City, Dubai.
DESS Primary Oud Metha (age 3-11) has been a cornerstone of the community since 1963, and DESS College (age 11-18) has built on this legacy since its founding in 2005.
Both have been consistently rated as Outstanding by the KHDA and BSO, a testament to our commitment to educational excellence.
About the Role

About You
- Have the relevant qualifications (PGCE or equivalent) and QTS
- Have a minimum of one year of teaching experience in the UK curriculum
- Be talented and highly motivated, with a proven track record of teaching children in KS1
- Be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school’s vision, including extracurricular activities
- Be willing to share expertise, knowledge, and skills with the wider school community and maintain a personal commitment to professional development
- Be committed to inclusive education with a willingness to respond to the needs of all children
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and be motivated to develop effective partnerships with all stakeholders
