Job Summary: We are seeking a detailoriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will assist in managing the company s financial records ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and grow within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records by entering verifying and reconciling transactions in the accounting system.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions including vendor invoices customer payments and expense reports.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between the company s financial records and bank statements.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
- Audit Support: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor and track company expenses ensuring all expenditures are accurately recorded and categorized.
- Data Analysis: Conduct basic financial analysis and provide insights to support decisionmaking processes.
- Ad Hoc Tasks:
Perform other accountingrelated tasks and projects as assigned by the Senior Accountant or Finance Manager.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Experience: 12 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP or similar).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
