Job Summary:
Design Mart Contracting LLC is seeking a highly organized and proactive female Project Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of our interior fit-out construction projects by coordinating all aspects of the work, from purchasing arrangements to subcontractor appointments, and managing labor and material logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work Coordination:
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure all project activities are scheduled and executed efficiently.
- Monitor project timelines, ensuring that all tasks are completed on schedule.
- Purchase Arrangement:
- Coordinate with suppliers to arrange timely delivery of materials required for each project.
- Track orders and manage purchase documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely procurement.
- Work closely with the procurement team to identify and resolve any purchasing issues.
- Subcontractor Appointments:
- Assist in the selection and appointment of subcontractors for various project tasks.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure they are aligned with project schedules and requirements.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and compliance with project standards.
- Labor Coordination and Storage:
- Manage the allocation and deployment of labor resources across multiple project sites.
- Ensure labor teams are appropriately assigned, briefed, and equipped for their tasks.
- Oversee the storage and management of materials and equipment, ensuring they are readily available when needed.
- Material Management from Client:
- Liaise with clients to coordinate the receipt of materials provided by them.
- Ensure all client-supplied materials are stored, tracked, and used according to project specifications.
- Document and report any discrepancies or issues related to client-supplied materials.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project-related activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and communication logs.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to project managers and senior management.
- Ensure all project documentation is organized and accessible for audits and reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project coordination, preferably in the construction or interior fit-out industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and subcontractor management is a plus.
Preferred Attributes:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the UAE.
- Knowledge of local labor laws and regulations.
