Social chatter may be necessary to facilitate rapport.The nurse must be nonjudgmental about the condition of the home (e.g., presence of clutter and disarray).Show respect and consideration for the client. For example: — Ask permission to use sink or bathroom to wash your hands. — Wipe your feet before entering the home.
