As a Purchase Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement team in their day-to-day activities.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in sourcing, identifying, and evaluating suppliers and vendors.
- Maintain and update supplier and vendor databases with accurate and current information.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure they are received on schedule.
- Assist in negotiating favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to maintain inventory levels and manage stock.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in maintaining records of all procurement activities and documentation.
- Coordinate and communicate with other departments to ensure their procurement needs are met.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a purchase assistant or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic knowledge of procurement and supply chain principles.
