Job Description & Summary
The Tax Strategy & Transformation Team is a multidisciplinary regional team that supports both public and private sector clients, helping them to navigate the large tax and digital transformation that is taking place in the Middle East. The team has a particular focus on tax transformation projects that impact tax strategy, processes, policies, and technologies.
A career within the Tax Strategy & Transformation Team will provide you with the opportunity to work at the heart of the large-scale tax transformation that the region is going through. You will have exposure to a variety of different projects and clients. You will work with a team of tax technology specialists that automate direct tax operations and implement technology solutions (i.e., implementation of ERP, consolidation tools, tax reporting, and provisioning solutions).
We are looking for a Manager to join the team, supporting our clients primarily in the area of Direct Tax technology. Core responsibilities and requirements for the job are:
- Experience in tax provision technology implementations (i.e., Oracle TRCS, SAP PaPM, Longview,
ONESOURCE Thomson Reuters, etc.).
- Understand the requisite strengths, weaknesses, and nuances of each of the systems, be able to articulate this to clients and internal stakeholders as part of exploratory discussions, and be able to support the team with configuration.
- Ability to discuss the different CT technology solutions and how to use ancillary technology to automate/streamline the process.
- Across all projects, accountable for the successful end-to-end implementation and Go-Live for clients.
- Good understanding of tax accounting (i.e., IFRS).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- You are a team player who loves collaborating with people from around the world.
- Able to bridge the gap between IT and Tax professionals tackling complex issues in a simple and understandable way.
Preferred Expertise and Background
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Tax Accounting / Corporate Direct Taxes from a multinational company and/or Big Four and/or software vendor.
- Able to work under demanding deadlines and client expectations.
- Given the evolving nature of tax regulations and technology trends, the candidate should demonstrate a willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new tools/technologies.
