Job Summary:

The Registered Physiotherapist (DHA Licensed) in a home care setting is responsible for delivering high-quality physiotherapy services to patients in their homes. The physiotherapist works to assess, plan, and implement customized treatment plans to help patients improve mobility, manage pain, and recover from injuries or surgeries. This role involves working independently, managing patient care at home, and providing rehabilitation services that align with the patient’s goals and health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Patient Assessment and Care Planning:






- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, including strength, flexibility, and range of motion, to diagnose movement issues.
- Develop personalized care plans based on the patient’s medical history, diagnosis, and rehabilitation goals.
- Set realistic, achievable goals for recovery and mobility improvement in collaboration with the patient and their family.
- Providing Physiotherapy Treatments:
- Administer physical therapy techniques such as manual therapy, exercise therapy, soft tissue manipulation, and electrotherapy.
- Guide patients through exercises to restore strength, flexibility, and balance.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to achieve maximum recovery and functional improvement.
- Use therapeutic equipment and tools (e.g., resistance bands, ultrasound therapy) to aid in treatment.
- Pain Management and Rehabilitation:
- Help patients manage acute and chronic pain through targeted therapy and exercises.






- Provide rehabilitation services for patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, strokes, or dealing with chronic conditions (e.g., arthritis, neurological disorders).
- Work with patients on posture correction and ergonomic adjustments for daily activities.
- Home Safety and Mobility Assistance:
- Assess the home environment for safety and make recommendations for modifications to improve patient mobility (e.g., installing handrails, using walking aids).
- Educate patients and caregivers on proper use of mobility aids such as walkers, crutches, or wheelchairs.
- Train caregivers or family members on techniques for assisting the patient with exercises and mobility.
- Patient and Family Education:
- Educate patients and their families on the rehabilitation process, expected outcomes,





and how to perform exercises at home.
- Provide guidance on how to prevent future injuries and maintain long-term physical well-being.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Team:
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
- Communicate patient progress, challenges, and care plan updates to the healthcare team and adjust treatments based on feedback.
- Participate in case discussions and care team meetings as needed.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and any changes in patient condition.
- Ensure all documentation complies with DHA regulations and home care company policies.






- Stay updated with the latest industry standards and ensure compliance with local and international healthcare guidelines.
- Professional Development:
- Stay current with advancements in physiotherapy techniques and technology through continuous education and training.
- Attend workshops, conferences, and training programs as required to maintain the DHA license and improve professional skills.

Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid DHA license as a Registered Physiotherapist.
- Experience: Minimum of [2 - 3 ] years of experience in physiotherapy, preferably in a home care or rehabilitation setting.
- Certifications: CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS)





certification is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical knowledge in musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiovascular rehabilitation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload in a home care setting.
- Proficiency in using therapy equipment and modern physiotherapy techniques.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in home care physiotherapy or geriatric rehabilitation.
- Specialized certifications in areas such as sports rehabilitation, neurorehabilitation, or orthopedic physiotherapy.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic (preferred but not mandatory).
