JobTitle : Purchasing Specialist / PurchasingAssistant / ProcurementOfficer

JobOverview :

The Purchasing Assistant will supportthe procurement team by managing daytoday purchasing tasksincluding processing purchase orders tracking deliveries andmaintaining supplier relationships.

The role requires excellentcommunication and organizational skills to ensure smooth and timelypurchasing operations.

KeyResponsibilities :

- PurchaseOrders : Prepare and process purchase orders based onstock needs and salesforecasts.
- SupplierCommunication : Contact suppliers for order followupsdelivery status and resolving any orderrelatedissues.
- InventoryCoordination :





Work closely with the inventory team toensure that stock levels are adequate and reorder points aremaintained.
- PriceComparison : Assist in gathering and comparing quotes frommultiple suppliers to ensurecosteffectiveness.
- Documentation : Maintain and update purchasing records including order detailsinvoices and suppliercontracts.
- Deliveries : Trackorders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepanciesbetween ordered and receiveditems.
- Basic Negotiations : Assist with negotiating prices and delivery terms for small orroutine orders.
- QualityControl : Report any quality issues with received items tothe appropriate department forresolution.

Qualifications :

- Highschool diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree in Business or arelated field is a plus but notrequired).
- Previous experience in a purchasingor administrative role (preferably in retail or a relatedindustry).
- Good communication and negotiationskills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office(especially Excel) and basic procurementsoftware.






- Ability to work well under pressureand handle multiple tasksefficiently.

PreferredSkills :

- Basic understandingof inventory management and retail purchasingprocesses.
- Attention to detail and strongorganizational skills.
- Willingness to learn andadapt to purchasing trends andsystems.
