**Job Summary**:A Desert Safari Driver plays a crucial role in providing a safe and memorable experience for tourists and visitors who embark on desert safari adventures. This position involves driving off-road vehicles through desert terrains, ensuring the safety of passengers, and creating an enjoyable and informative experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Safe Off-Roading**: Safely operate and maneuver 4x4 vehicles, such as Land Cruisers, Toyota Sequoias, or Nissan Patrols, over sand dunes and uneven desert terrain. Maintain control of the vehicle while ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers.

**Passenger Care**: Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring the well-being and comfort of passengers throughout the safari.





Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking the vehicles and offer guidance as needed.

**Knowledge of Routes**: Possess an in-depth understanding of the desert safari routes, including knowledge of the best routes, pitstops, and scenic locations. Provide interesting insights into the local culture, desert ecology, and history.

**Vehicle Maintenance**: Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the mechanical reliability and safety of the off-road vehicle. Report any issues to the maintenance team for timely repairs.

**Emergency Response**: Be prepared to handle unexpected situations, including vehicle breakdowns, medical emergencies, or inclement weather conditions. Follow safety protocols and provide assistance as required.

**Communication**: Maintain clear and effective communication with tour guides, fellow drivers, and the tour coordinator. Coordinate with the team to ensure a smooth and well-organized safari experience.

**Cultural Engagement**:





Engage with tourists by offering insights into the local culture, customs, and traditions. Encourage participation in activities like camel riding, henna painting, or experiencing traditional dress.

**Safety Protocols**: Enforce and follow all safety guidelines and regulations to protect both passengers and the environment. Ensure the use of safety equipment, such as seat belts and roll cages.

**Environmental Responsibility**: Promote responsible desert tourism by adhering to guidelines for minimizing environmental impact, including waste disposal and respecting wildlife habitats.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Valid commercial driver's license (e.g., DTCM Desert Safari Driver License in Dubai, UAE).
- Proven experience in off-road driving,





especially in desert or rugged terrains.
- Excellent knowledge of desert geography, routes, and local attractions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure or during emergencies.
- Familiarity with local culture and history is a plus.
- Physical fitness and endurance to handle the demands of off-road driving.

**Working Conditions**:

- Desert Safari Drivers often work in extreme weather conditions, including high temperatures.
- Irregular work hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate tourist schedules.
- Physical demands, such as sitting for extended periods, navigating challenging terrains,





and assisting passengers.

A Desert Safari Driver's role is not only about safe driving but also about creating a memorable and enriching experience for tourists exploring the desert's beauty and culture.

**Salary**: From AED2,500.00 per month

- Dubai: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
