**Job Summary**:
The Health and Safety Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures within the organization. This role involves conducting risk assessments, training employees on safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Policy Development and Implementation**:
1. Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures,





and programs in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

2. Review and update health and safety policies to ensure they are current and effective.

**Risk Assessment and Management**:
1. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.

2. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine their causes and recommend preventive measures.

**Training and Education**:
1. Provide training to employees on health and safety practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

2. Conduct safety drills and exercises to ensure employees are prepared for emergencies.

**Compliance and Inspection**:
1. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.

2. Conduct regular inspections and audits of the workplace to identify and address safety hazards.

**Reporting and Documentation**:
1. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents,





and training activities.

2. Prepare and submit reports on health and safety performance to management and regulatory authorities as required.

**Emergency Response**:
1. Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.

2. Coordinate with emergency services and ensure that emergency equipment is available and maintained.

**Safety Culture Promotion**:
1. Promote a culture of safety within the organization by encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives and programs.

2. Communicate effectively with all levels of staff to ensure awareness and understanding of health and safety policies.

**Continuous Improvement**:
1. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety programs and initiatives.

Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance workplace safety.

**Team Collaboration**:
1. Work closely with other departments, such as Human Resources, Operations, and Facilities Management, to ensure a holistic approach to health and safety.

2. Assist in the development and implementation of health and wellness programs.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Professional certification, such as NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) or IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health), is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.






- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using computer software for report writing and data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety management.

**Working Conditions**:

- Health and Safety Officers typically work in an office setting, but also spend time on-site in various environments, including construction sites, manufacturing plants, and other industrial settings.
- The role may involve exposure to hazardous materials and environments, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work hours may include early mornings, evenings,





and weekends, depending on the needs of the organization and the nature of the projects.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
